Today she is carefree and happy with her husband, Vic Damone, their baby and a flourishing career. "You still look like a little girl," I told Pier as we reminisced recently about our first visit. The Young actress laughed and said, "But I am grown up inside.""It's amazing," I said, "how you girls get your figures back so perfectly after a baby's birth.""I limited myself to 18 pounds during pregnancy," Pier explained. "The size of the mother has no effect on the baby. It is much easier to return to normal if you don't get too fat."Because I had a Caesarean I could not go downstairs for six weeks but as soon as had my doctor's permission I did all the exercises he gave me to strengthen the muscles which had been stretched. "I do not like that kind of exercising," Pier said, "but I forced myself to work at it every day."
